A preparation for an upcoming one person exhibition of new sculptures. The project has focus on my lifelong interest in- and work with baroque art. Especially the Italian, and especially the works that originated in Rome. For me, the most important sculptor / architect in that context is G. L. Bernini. The other point of departure is the Rome based sculptor Gino De Domenicis who has delivered one of the wildest revivals of the Baroque thought in modern art. His work links the baroque and contemporary art through the Italian Arte Povera movement - the Italian minimalism - of which he was initially a part. A stay in Rome will result in a series of large drawings on the "Baroque connection" based on Bernini, Arte Povera and De Domenicis preparing a number of sculptures, which subsequently will be executed in Copenhagen.
